Facebook May Soon Ask You For A Selfie To Confirm You're Not A Robot

- November 29, 2017

Social networking giants - Facebook is now testing a type of captcha to verify you identity, this process involves asking you for your selfie and it is used to determine if your account is authentic

A screenshot was shared on Twitter by a Facebook user saying - “Please upload a photo of yourself that clearly shows your face.” The prompt also promises to check the picture and permanently erase it from the servers, also sometime ago Facebook had already suggested asking it's users to upload their nude pictures to help fight against porn.

It's not yet clear why or when the company started testing this new captcha, because similar incidents were also reported on Reddit earlier this year. This process of asking you for you selfie is automatic and it is for determining if your account is authentic because Facebook will check if the photo is unique.

Meanwhile, some other tweets revealed that the user is going to be locked out of his or her account while the selfie you uploaded is been verified. The tweet says - “You Can’t Log In Right Now. We’ll get in touch with you after we’ve reviewed your photo.”

So whats do you think about this?
